Life Update
It’s been roughly two months since my last analysis piece. A long time in the football world, I know, but I thought it would be wise to explain my absence and time away.
As most of you know I’ve signed on to write a third book this time on the Lionesses. I had a whirlwind of a summer. Firstly, I was blessed to head out to the UK and watch 5 knockout stage games including the final. Watching my first women’s football games live was incredible. The trip itself was inspiring and one I won’t be forgetting any time soon. I met acquaintances and friends and made those relations stronger.
Ever since I returned home, I’ve been tired. As well as being hell-bent on ensuring I finish the book strongly, I’ve had to balance my job and life and ensure my health is in order. My body is tired and recovery from the gym has been slow. I’ve found the problem and it’s time to fix it. I’ve also had the least amount of time to finish this book with an October-end deadline. I’m not making excuses, but rather saying I made a choice to focus on creating the best possible book of the three.
I did the odd piece of work here and there but I only wanted to come back here once I had enough time to put thought, and effort into keeping the standards that I’ve set for myself here. So, once I’ve finished my manuscript in a month, I’ll take stock, and choose my assignments wisely but I will be back writing long form analysis pieces soon enough and catch up on the numerous ideas and pieces I’ve been itching to write.
Hopefully, there will be more announcements to come in the coming months.
Thanks for sticking around!
